A Taste of Spice: Reviews & Ratings
Lovely people and service. We had steamed wontons, pad Thai, and nasi goreng. Wonton was our favorite. However, they are not authentic but good in their own way. I personally appreciate them making all kinds of Asian foods available when it’s hard to find Asian food in Noosa. I will come back again.
Great food, good service, very reasonably priced. Third time dining and will definitely be returning.
I’ve visited Noosa few times and always wanted to try this place. After hearing so many great reviews, I was really eager to finally give it a go - and it did not disappoint! We ordered the dim sims and they were amazing: fresh, generously sized, and packed with so much meat. The Singapore noodles were full of colour, loaded with vegetables, and very tasty. The fried rice was delicious too. I’m a big seafood lover, so the salt and pepper calamari and prawns were my favourite, absolutely loved them! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
It's been more than 10 years to have these beautiful dishes here. Thank you chef for you smile and heart *I ordered the rice separately (for not confusing)
I can honestly say this is the most delicious Pad Thai I’ve ever had in my whole life – absolutely bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Their beef with cashew is another standout dish, perfectly balanced and packed with taste that keeps you wanting more. It surprises me that they’re sitting at 4.3 stars on Google, because the quality of the food here easily deserves more. Every dish shows care, passion, and authentic flavors that truly deliver. If you love Malaysian and Thai-inspired cuisine, this place is a hidden gem in Noosa Heads. Highly recommend!
We were in Noosa for the evening to go on a Sunset cruise, so we decided to find a local Asian restaurant that looked like it had a great selection and we were not disappointed. We mostly ordered Malaysian dishes, but they also do Indian, Thai and Chinese food. The owners were very friends, with both of them coming to say hi during the meal. The service was very friendly and very fast. The food was very tasty and it since it is BYO, we ducked around the corner to the bottle shop to grab some wine. We had a great time here and will definitely come back again next time we're in town.
The food and the service here was 10/10, the kind lady who worked there gave us some amazing recommendations and it did not disappoint! Very affordable compared to the rest of Noosa and the taste of every fish was unreal. We got a mix of meat, veggie and Gf etc. They were really patient with helping with the dietries too. Would definitely recommend
We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and it never fails to please. Authentic Asian food where we love reminiscing of our years living in Asia. I suggest you book a table for dinner as popular with locals. Tonight we had Beef Rendang and Char Kway Teow, but everything is good. Tables are onto the street so I wouldn't call it intimate dining if that's what you're after. BYO, but a bottle shop a few shops away.

A Taste of Spice, nestled in the heart of Noosa Heads, is a Malaysian restaurant that truly captures the essence of Southeast Asian flavors. From the moment you step in, the warm hospitality and attentive service set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Their menu is a vibrant tapestry of beloved dishes—each prepared with care and a distinct touch that makes them stand apart.
The Nasi Goreng here is a standout, marrying fragrant jasmine rice with spices that evoke the bustling streets of Malaysia. The Pad Thai Noodles burst with sweet and tangy notes, layered with fresh ingredients that create a harmony on the palate. The Wontons, light and well-seasoned, were a favorite among many diners, offering a delicate texture that melts with every bite.
Seafood lovers will find the Seafood Laksa and Thai King Prawn with Basil & Vegetables irresistible. The Laksa is rich and comforting, with a perfect balance of spice and creaminess, while the prawns are fresh and infused with aromatic herbs that elevate the dish. The dim sum, especially the steamed varieties, are generously sized and packed with meat, showcasing the kitchen’s commitment to quality and flavor.
What truly impressed me was the depth of flavor across the board. Dishes like the Ginger Chicken and Honey Chicken are thoughtfully executed, delivering both authenticity and comfort. The balance and presentation reveal the passion behind each plate. It’s clear that A Taste of Spice is more than just another Malaysian restaurant; it is a culinary gem that brings a diverse range of Asian flavors to a region where such offerings are rare.
Patrons appreciate the generous portions and reasonable prices, making it an inviting spot to return to time and again.
